Why we still love 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' 10 years later
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is one of the most memorable stories about friendship. And … are you ready to feel a little old? On Aug. 6, it’ll be 10 years since the four BFFs reunited for more adventures in the successful sequel The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.”
Fast forward to the present, and Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn have stayed close friends. The fictional and real-life friendships of the four women prove how strong the female bond can be. And we love an adorable film that teaches girls how caring women can be with one another.
The foursome has reunited multiple times since shooting the movies. They got together earlier this year to celebrate America’s first pregnancy. They also attended Blake Lively’s wedding to Ryan Reynolds in 2012. Can you say squad goals?
And some good news for Sisterhood fans! According to Variety, the film is being adapted into a musical by Blue Spruce Productions. Though there is no official word yet on a creative team or production timeline, we are already looking up flights to New York City and plotting how to get tickets.

Believe it or not, there’s still more Sisterhood news to get excited about. On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Bledel confirmed that the girls had pitched a concept for a third film in the franchise. “…I hope it comes together,” she said. “It would be so great.”
There’s a trilogy we can get onboard with! Happy 10-year anniversary, sisters!
