Stone Pony schedule: Sum 41 farewell tour to kick off Summer Stage 2024 season
This is the last chance for Jersey Shore fans to get Sum.
Sum 41 is bringing its farewell “Tour of the Setting Sum” to the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park. The show, on Saturday, May 4, will kick-off the 2024 Summer Stage season.
The Interrupters are also on the bill. Tickets, which start at $59, are on sale now via presales at citientertainment.com. Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at sum41.com/tour.
Only holders of Citi credit cards can purchase the presale tickets at citientertainment.com.
The Ontario pop-punk band formed in the mid-'90s. Their hits include “Fat Lip,” “In Too Deep,” “Still Waiting,” “We're All to Blame” and Landmines.”
A double album, “Heaven :x: Hell,” is due March 29.
“I've been in this band since 10th grade,” said frontman Deryck Whibley to iHeartRadio last month. “I'm getting to a point where I'm thinking I'd like ot put some focus and some energy into something else.”
The Tour of the Setting Sum plays around the world through early 2025, including May 6 at the Brooklyn Paramount, and May 18 at the Skyline Stage at the Mann in Philadelphia. The tour concludes Jan. 30, 2025, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The Interrupters, a ska-punk outfit from Los Angeles, headlined last season’s Summer Stage opener on May 13, 2023, with Frank Turner.
The Stone Pony is celebrating it's 50th anniversary in 2024, which includes Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes shows on Feb. 16 and 17.
