Stones roll into Levi’s Stadium Wednesday, traffic advisory issued
(KRON) — The Rolling Stones bring their “Hackney Diamonds” tour to the Bay Area this week.
Could this be the last time? Who knows, but even though it’s only rock and roll and you like it, you may not get any satisfaction if you drive to the show, according to county officials.

A traffic advisory has been issued ahead of the Stones’ appearance at Levi’s Stadium Wednesday night. Wednesday’s show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Officials are advising concertgoers to expect heavy traffic and delays on major thoroughfares leading to and from the stadium.
Roadways expected to be impacted include:
Highway 101
Highway 237
Highway 880
Lawrence Expressway
Great American Parkway
San Tomas Expressway
“Expect increased traffic in the area throughout the day and for several hours after the event,” Santa Clara County officials said in an advisory.

The following road closure will be in effect:
Tasman Drive from Convention Center Circle to Centennial/Marie P DeBartolo Way beginning at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday
The offramp slipway from eastbound Tasman Drive to Stars and Stripes Drive will be closed except for train station, Youth Soccer Park and Gold Lot 1-5 users
Public transportation encouraged
Officials are encouraging concertgoers to take public transportation to the show. Information on public transit to the stadium is available at:
Attendees who plan on driving to the event are encouraged to enter their address here for directions each lot. Other map programs and apps “may not take road closures into consideration,” according to county officials.
Rolling Stones Levi’s Stadium parking
Parking lots at the stadium will open at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Pre-paid parking passes are available at Levi’s Stadium website
Gates at the stadium will open at 5:30 p.m. Red Lot 7 has been designated as the post-event rideshare pick-up location. There is also complimentary bicycle valet service at Green Lot 1, near Gate C and near Gate A.
Bicycle valet will be open 3.5 hours prior to the event and close 1 hour after the event ends.

Santa Clara is one of 16 cities across the U.S. and Canada the Stones are hitting on the “Hackney Diamonds Tour.”
“Fans can expect to experience Mick, Keith and Ronnie play their most popular hits ranging from “Start Me Up,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Satisfaction” and more, as well as fan favorite deep cuts and music from the new album,” according to the iconic band’s official website.
The tour kicked off in April with an appearance at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX and will conclude on Saturday at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, MO. The Levi’s Stadium performance is the penultimate stop on the tour.
