Stormi, Rani and Prince Louis: 13 seriously cute photos of 2018's new celebrity babies
Thank goodness for babies. No matter what craziness is going on in the world — and this has been another year at max level — just seeing them brings a joy like no other.
This year, there were so many new additions welcomed by celebrities. We saw John Stamos become a first-time dad at 54. The KarJenners had their own baby boom. And Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade finally got their “miracle baby.”
We celebrate some of the smallest stars to arrive on the scene with 13 adorable and aww-worthy photos of 2018’s new additions…
John Legend and Miles Stephens
John Legend got his Mini Me this year when Chrissy Teigen gave birth to their second child in May. Little Miles is as cute as a button whether he’s posing with his dad and some Build-A-Bears, being sidekick to their adorable daughter, Luna, or rocking his helmet (for plagiocephaly) in his mama’s arms. Teigen had both their kids via IVF and said after Miles’s birth that she doesn’t mind discussing it. “I think hearing success stories gives people hope,” she wrote on Twitter. “I’m all for talking about IVF.”

Eva Longoria and Santiago Bastón
Eva Longoria welcomed #BabyBaston, who she named Santiago, in June — just over two years after her second wedding anniversary with Mexican businessman, José “Pepe” Bastón. “He is just so delicious,” the first-time mama, 43, told Extra about her baby boy after his arrival — and this smoochy snapshot demonstrates just that.

John and Billy Stamos
To borrow a line from John Stamos, “Have mercy!” ’cause this is a lot of cute. The Fuller House actor said he had given up on the idea of becoming a dad, until he met model Caitlin McHugh. They welcomed Billy, who was named after Stamos’s dad, in April — two months after they tied the knot. In June, the actor called parenthood “beautiful” and admitted that he has “cried most days” since his son was born. “I just stare at him.”

Gabrielle Union and Kaavia Union Wade
Gabrielle Union had been very candid about her infertility struggles. The 46-year-old actress had miscarriages, no luck with IVF and was finally diagnosed with adenomyosis, a form of endometriosis. So she and Dwyane Wade quietly enlisted a surrogate to carry their baby — and dropped the big news on Nov. 7 that their “miracle baby,” daughter Kaavia, had arrived. Union had said that being a stepmom to Wade’s brood — the NBA star has three sons and raises his nephew — was what led her to realize they should try for their own baby. Soon after Kaavia’s arrival, Union wrote on Instagram, “This little dynamo reminds me to never give up on my dreams.”

Chicago West, True Thompson and Stormi Webster
Sisters Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian welcomed their “triplets” practically back-to-back at the start of the year. First came Chicago, Kim and Kanye West’s third, who made her entrance into the world, with some help from a surrogate, in January. First-time mama Kylie used the birth of sweet Stormi in February to confirm her pregnancy and has been happily co-parenting with boyfriend Travis Scott. The arrival of Khloé’s True was the most dramatic because she went into labor right after learning that her baby daddy, NBA star Tristan Thompson, had been cheating. Aunt Kourtney, a mom of three herself, told People magazine, “We call them the triplets. … To have all of our kids be able to grow up together and there’s one after the other, I feel like we’re all so blessed. We love it — it’s the best energy.”

Dwayne and Tiana Johnson
Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson practically broke the internet with his baby’s birth announcement, which showed him doing skin to skin with his third daughter, the second with Lauren Hashian, Tiana after she was born in April. But really his whole post made people swoon — the hulking movie star talked about how men should be not only present but also hands-on in the delivery room. “If you really want to understand the single most powerful and primal moment life will ever offer — watch your child being born,” he wrote. “It’s a life-changer and the respect and admiration you have for a woman will forever be boundless.” He also promised his babe that he’ll “love,” “protect” and “guide” little Tiana for the rest of his life — as well as make her laugh.

Kate Middleton and Prince Louis
The Cambridges, Prince William and Kate Middleton, welcomed another prince into their lives in April. Because his charismatic siblings — Prince George and Princess Charlotte — have so much personality, No. 3 would have to bring it and little Louis does just that. That’s the cutest toothless smile we’ve ever seen.

Aaron and Story Paul
The Breaking Bad alum Aaron Paul became a first-time dad this year too, welcoming little Story, thanks to wife Lauren, in February. The actor’s new addition was his plus-one in July at Comic-Con, where there was a panel to mark the 10th anniversary of his already classic AMC show. To the delight of fans, Story came wearing a hazmat suit — just like dad did on the show.

Brigitte Nielsen and Frida Dessi
Brigitte Nielsen has enjoyed motherhood so much, she welcomed her fifth child — and first girl — in June at the age of 54. “It’s been a long road, and so worth it,” the Danish actress said soon after the baby, whose father is her husband Mattia Dessi, arrived. Long indeed — she did IVF over a 10-year period before getting her little angel. To others hoping to have a child, she said: “Never give up” if motherhood is something they really want. Nielsen seems to be enjoying every second with her precious cargo.

Kate Hudson and Rani Fujikawa
The actress finally got her girl. Kate Hudson’s “little rosebud” Rani arrived in October. It’s her first child with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa — and she joins the actress’s two sons. The wee one, whose name is pronounced “Ronnie,” was named after Fujikawa’s father, Ron, who Hudson said “was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.”

Chip and Crew Gaines
Joanna and Chip Gaines said goodbye to Fixer Upper in April and welcomed their fifth child, Crew, in June. “He’s a gift,” she said of her youngest. “He’s slowed down time for us.” The couple said they won’t rule out more kids either. “I love the process of being pregnant. I love giving birth,” she added. For now, they’re working on their other baby — a new TV network, Magnolia, which may launch in 2019.

Alec and Romeo Baldwin
The Baldwin brood grew in May with the arrival of sweet little Romeo, making it four children under the age of 5 in Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s home. (Alec also has a grown daughter, Ireland, from his marriage to Kim Basinger.) Although these four twinkly eyed kiddos look like they would be a handful, the couple, who married in 2012, may have more. Hilaria said that Carmen really wants a little sister. “I think it’s possible … Alec thinks it’s very possible. He comes from a big family.”
Guess who is 6 months old today AND SAID MAMA for the first time!!!!! ???????? #romeoalejandrodavid

Hilary Duff, Matthew Koma and Banks Blair
For baby No. 2, Hilary Duff had a home water birth — and this little bit of “magic” joined the world. Banks Violet Blair (Blair is Duff’s partner Matthew Koma’s legal last name) stole her parents hearts immediately, reported the Younger actress. Mama’s described her baby as “dreamy,” an “angel” and the “sweetest” on Instagram. And their bond was immediate. When Banks was placed in Duff’s arms after she was born, “She … reaches up her arms right at my neck, as if to give me a hug,” Duff said while talking about her delivery on the Informed Podcast. “I couldn’t believe how strong she was, but it was so clearly a hug. … It made me feel like she was like, ‘Good team, Mom, we did it.'”

What cuteness will 2019 bring? Well, we’ll get to meet Carrie Underwood’s second bundle of joy. And — perhaps most anticipated — Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s royal wee one. Meanwhile, there’s nothing official yet, but we also predict there will be at least one more KarJenner. We shall see…
