Strange Darling Trailer Sets Release Date for Serial Killer Movie
The official Strange Darling trailer has dropped, featuring Willa Fitzgerald and Kyle Gallner starring in a suspense thriller drama. The film will be arriving in theaters on Friday, August 23.
“In the film, nothing is what it seems when a twisted one-night stand spirals into a serial killer’s vicious murder spree,” reads the synopsis.

What happens in the Strange Darling trailer?
The Strange Darling trailer features Fitzgerald’s character as she finds herself getting hunted down by a serial killer who she initially had a one-night stand with. Prior to its theatrical release, the film had its world premiere at last year’s Fantastic Fest in Austin Texas, where it received rave reviews from critics. It currently holds a 100% Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 14 reviews.
The film is written and directed by JT Mollner. It stars Willa Fitzgerald (The Fall of the House of Usher), Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Smile), Ed Begley Jr. (Better Call Saul, A Mighty Wind), and Barbara Hershey (Black Swan, Insidious). It is produced by Bill Block, Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Giovanni Ribisi, and Chris Ivan Cevic, with Ribisi also serving as the Director of Photography. It is a co-production between Miramax and Spooky Pictures Production, with Magenta Light Studios handling its distribution.
