Adams, best known from his time playing Mike Ross on former USA Network drama turned streaming juggernaut Suits, joins the cast as Russell McIntosh, “who has followed the life path set before him from the start,” according to the character description.
The Madison is the first official sequel series to flagship Yellowstone, which premieres its long-delayed final episodes beginning Nov. 10. The series is described as a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.
Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto, Florida Wild) and Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane, The Good Doctor, Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce) have also joined the cast, with Chapman making her TV debut as Paige McIntosh, a “somewhat self-centered woman who indulges in a luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her parents and investment banker husband.” Garrett plays Abigail Reese, a “resilient and sardonic New Yorker, who is a recently divorced mother of two.”
When the end of Yellowstone was officially announced last year, Paramount Network had set the wheels in motion for two more spinoffs: a prequel series set in 1944 and The Madison (previously titled 2024), which was described as a present-day continuation that would take place after the events of Yellowstone and would feature new characters and locations, as well as some existing characters (sparking speculation about whether other familiar faces will pop up).
The Madison, which doesn’t yet have a premiere date, is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions, and is executive produced by Sheridan, Pfeiffer, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox.
Adams, who most recently led the limited series Plan B and made his Broadway debut in Richard Greenberg’s Tony Award-winning revival of Take Me Out, is repped by CAA, The Rosenzweig Group and attorney Lev Ginsburg. Next up, he will star in the series Lockerbie for BBC and Netflix.
Garrett is repped by LINK Entertainment, SDB Partners and attorney Jason Hendler; Chapman is repped by Alchemy Entertainment, Sovereign Talent Group and Goodman Genow.
