Peak season is beginning in Iceland, and some of the cheapest fares we’ve ever seen to Iceland are now available from cities all across the United States and Canada.

According to Thrifty Traveler, Iceland’s flag carrier, Icelandair, is selling tickets to Reykjavik for as little as $245 round-trip. All flights are non-stop, and include one complimentary checked bag.

The lowest fares are from Toronto, which are selling for $245. Travelers can also find $353 round-trip fares from Chicago and Minneapolis, and $394 fares from Denver and Portland.

These Icelandair fares can be found between September and December, with availability varying wildly depending on your departure city.

The Airfare Spot has also found insanely cheap tickets to Iceland, with $286 round-trip flights available from Boston, Washington D.C., and New York City.

Even travelers as far west as Portland, Oregon, can take advantage with $391 round-trip flights to Reykjavik in October.

Yesterday, the Airfarewatchdog spotted deals on travel to Reykjavik, too. They announced $390 round-trip flights from Baltimore in July with WOW Air, and flights from Los Angeles in August — also with WOW Air — for only $300.

It’s not just that these fares are affordable — it’s that they’re incredibly inexpensive for the season. Deals this good are typically found during the winter months, when airfare can drop by a third and the days are short and cold.

Visitors exploring Iceland during the summer can enjoy nearly 21 hours of daylight, moderate temperatures, and summer-only activities, like kayaking through the glacier lagoons.
