Road closures in Cleveland for Superman movie
CLEVELAND (WJW) – Hollywood is coming to downtown Cleveland.
Road closures for a feature film production — which is widely believed to be the next Superman film — began on Thursday, June 20, and will last through Tuesday, June 25.

But first, the film!
We learned a new Superman movie would be filming in Ohio this summer following $11 million in tax credits from the state.
Also, local casting directors said the movie was filming in Cleveland from mid-June through mid-July in a post looking for extras for the feature.
IMDB simply calls the movie “Superman 2025,” eluding to its release date.
Downtown Cleveland transforms for Superman film
It stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman himself, according to IMDB.
Here’s the synopsis:
“Follows the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way in a world that views this as old-fashioned.”
Classic.
Film crews have also been spotted previously in Public Square, Headlands Beach State Park, Sandusky and Cincinnati.
And it’s apt of course because Superman was created by Cleveland high schoolers Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster.

City Hall’s surface parking lot and Lakeside access to Willard Garage will be closed. The only access to Willard Garage will be from East 9th Street
