Following the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, The CW dropped an extended first look at the Superman’s gravity-defying brawl with Bizarro-turned-Doomsday (aka the battle that will lead to his “death”). Hit PLAY on the video above to watch their epic face-off.
The CW previously released a trailer for the show’s long-awaited (and long-dreaded) swan song, which picks up shortly after Superman’s space brawl with the unkillable Doomsday, and it’s fair to say that the criminally underrated comic book adaptation is going out with a bang. Watch the trailer below:
Following a casting shake-up at the end of Season 3, only five actors are returning as series regulars: Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent 2.0 and Michael Cudlitz as Lex Luthor.
The show is also (at least partially) relocating from Smallville to Metropolis, where we’ll encounter a few more iconic DC characters, including Douglas Smith as Daily Planet photographer Jimmy Olsen.
This trailer also confirms that we’ll still see several familiar faces from previous seasons, even if they won’t be appearing in a regular capacity. (We’ve got a breakdown of those returns below.)
Hit PLAY on the videos above to watch the trailer and sneak peek of Superman & Lois‘ final season, then catch a glimpse of (confirmed) returning characters below. When you’re done, drop a comment with your hopes for the show’s swan song.
RETURNING: Dylan Walsh as Sam Lane
One of Season 3’s more puzzling unresolved cliffhangers, Sam was kidnapped by his new girlfriend, who turned out to be one of Lex’s hired goons.
RETURNING: Wolé Parks and Tayler Buck as John Henry and Natalie Irons
John Henry ended Season 3 on a high, first receiving a job offer in Metropolis, then finally doing the deed with Lana. (If only those two had gotten together sooner!)
