The stars coming back are: James Marsters (who played Spike), Charisma Carpenter, (who played Cordelia), Anthony Head (who played Giles), Juliet Landau (who played Drusilla), Emma Caulfield Ford (who played Anya), Amber Benson (who played Tara), James Charles Leary (who played Clem), Danny Strong (who played Jonathan)! Along with them, they brought along a newcomer to the Buffyverse: Laya DeLeon Hayes.
The podcast’s story takes place ten years after the events of the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and follows so many of our beloved favorites. In the story, Spike (Marsters) is undercover, trying to convince people he’s bad again until he finds a new slayer (Hayes) to help take on the right path. However, Buffy Summers never existed in this universe, and the slayer is none other than Carpenter’s character Cordelia Chase.

For those who are hardcore Buffy/ Angel fans, you know Carpenter’s character died in the final season of Angel, which left many fans angered and wanting the character to have a better ending.
Many felt as though her character deserved more, and in 2021, Carpenter claimed director Joss Whedon dismissed her from the show abruptly because of her pregnancy, and consistently created a toxic work environment.
But now, Cordelia is back and better than ever!
The first episode was released on Oct 12, 2023, and let’s just say, fans have been losing it.
