In this week’s “Survivor 47” deleted scene, we see the unaired moment from Episode 7 where Rachel LaMont finds the advantage in her bag that Solomon “Sol” Yi secretly gifted to her. Without a doubt, this is the twist that saved her life in the game, because the 34-year-old graphic designer from Southfield, Michigan would have been voted out at the all-Tuku tribal council. Watch the video above.

“I found this note in my bag and I just snuck over here to read it, and I’m so curious to see what it says,” Rachel tells the camera before reading the parchment out loud. “Congratulations! Someone wants to help you at tonight’s tribal council. This Take Your Pick Advantage allows you to choose between Block A Vote or Safety Without Power. After tonight’s tribal council, this advantage holds no power. Good luck!”

Rachel starts freaking out at the good news, declaring, “Someone has sent me power in this game when I am the least powerful I’ve ever been, and it’s incredible. I cannot believe it’s happening. It is the lifeline that I desperately need.”

Remember, at the earlier reward/immunity challenge, the remaining 12 players were randomly divided and Rachel inexplicably ended up on a team with all five former Tuku members: Tiyana Hallums, Caroline Vidmar, Sue Smey, Gabe Ortis, and Kyle Ostwald, with the latter winning individual immunity.

“It’s a terrifying thing to be out here isolated and trying to rely on these people that I met two days ago not to vote me out when they’ve been together for two weeks,” Rachel adds. She calls the advantage “unbelievable” and feels “eternally grateful” to the mystery person who sent it to her.

Rachel ultimately decides to take the Safety Without Power option, because the Block A Vote advantage would require her to know where all of the votes are going, and it’s “a little muddy.” Viewers who watched the seventh episode already know how things played out at tribal council. After Rachel announced her decision to leave tribal council, the Tuku five turned on each other, and Tiyana was booted by a 4-to-1 vote over Gabe.

Next week, things get back to normal as the 11 castaways return to one beach. In lieu of a reward challenge, the fan-fave “Survivor” auction will return to the game in the November 6 episode — here’s everything to know.
