“Survivor 47” is only three episodes underway and already history has been made for the reality TV show almost 25 years on the air, where for the first time, the first three players to leave the game all came from different tribes. That leaves all camps even at five cast members apiece as the fourth episode, titled “Is That Blood in Your Hair,” airs on CBS on Wednesday, October 9.

This being a first for any season, let’s look back and examine each tribe so far to see which might stick together and which might immediately dismantle. Read on for our “Survivor 47” power rankings (strongest to weakest) for Gata, Lavo and Tuku after all three went to tribal council.

Strongest Tribe: Gata

This group has steadily improved their relationships since they went to tribal council in the premiere. They voted out the celebrity political podcaster Jon Lovett in what was a surprising vote given the actions of Andy Rueda, who required medical attention at the immunity challenge and quickly revealed the tribe dynamics in front of everybody out of fear of being on the bottom. Subsequently, he then chose to leave the tribe’s Beware Advantage after finding it. But for now, all that seems to be momentarily swept under the rug as there is currently clashing tension between Sam Phalen and Anika Dhar, with the latter going on a journey in the last episode and revealing that Sam and Sierra Wright are a tight pair. She later came back after she lost her vote only to share that information with Sierra and Rachel LaMont, which is questionable given she just targeted Sierra to the other tribes. Meanwhile, Sam has the Beware Advantage which is an idol only good for one tribal council, but he has also formed a bond with Andy and Sierra, so this tribe so far seems to have the least drama with no clear target, though lines are starting to be drawn.

Middle Tribe: Tuku

Over on this tribe, there is more of a divide after the ouster of Terran “TK” Foster, with the whole tribe voting for him except Kyle Ostwald, who instead voted for Sue Smey. This made her personally vengeful against Kyle, but he was not dead in the water after Gabe Ortis approached him about getting rid of Tiyana Hallums, and he did the smart thing afterwards by agreeing to it, then warning Tiyana. This gives Kyle a leeway into Sue’s alliance that currently includes Gabe and Caroline Vidmar, but Sue is more skeptical of him after he revealed that Gabe was planning to take her to the end as a goat. Kyle also went on the journey where, just like Anika, he lost his vote, but he told the truth to his entire camp.

Weakest Tribe: Lavo

Perhaps this is more recency bias since this group is the last to go to tribal council, but it is also the most disjointed vote-out thus far in the season with four players receiving votes. And this all centers around Rome Cooney, who is clearly overestimating himself and proving to be very cocky for his tribe. He also had the idol, which everyone knew about, after he told Teeny Chirichillo about it and she then divulged it to Kishan Patel, only to get busted later. Rome additionally went on the journey and was able to gain a steal-a-vote advantage – though no one believed him when he came back and lied about it – yet disclosed his advantage to Teeny yet again. After the challenge loss, Teeny and Kishan found themselves in the middle between Rome & Genevieve Mushaluk, and Solomon “Sol” Yi & Aysha Welch, leaning toward the latter pair but worried about Rome’s advantages. What sealed the deal was Aysha’s insistence on voting for Rome and her inflexibility to not go for Sol to be safe, which raised red flags for Teeny and Kishan. In the end, Rome used his idol on himself (since it would expire after that tribal), but Aysha got her torch snuffed, so even though he got his way this time, his overconfidence and clueless perception is just a downfall waiting to happen. It’s safe to say that this tribe is currently a mess and it will be interesting to see what will happen in the aftermath in the coming episodes.
