‘Survivor 47’ preview: Aysha Welch hopes to be ‘inspiring’ to young girls out there [WATCH]

“Survivor 47” fans, it’s time to meet Aysha Welch, a 32-year-old IT consultant from Houston, Texas. “If we sit next to each other on a plane, I will talk your ear off,” she states in CBS’s preview video. “I literally have at least six or seven contacts in my phone of so-and-so’s name — airplane.” Watch Aysha’s intro above at the 6:14 mark.

The bubbly castaway notes, “I always thought, I’m gonna be married by 23, I’m gonna have kids by 25. And I am 32 and single. What that has prepared me for is to be adaptable. I don’t know what Jeff is gonna throw at us. All I know is that I have the ability to create strong relationships. And that’s what’s gonna carry me through the game.”

Speaking about her island strategy, Aysha reveals, “If I see somebody that seems unapproachable, they seem impossible to work with, I’m going to want to make it happen. I’m going to feel that personal satisfaction that I was able to win them over.”

Referencing recent New Era players like Maryanne Oketch, Shan Smith and Katurah Topps, Aysha says, “Seeing someone like me, I thought, wait, if they could do it, I could do it. And so if I could do that for some other girl out there, I think that’s inspiring.”
