‘Survivor 47’ sneak peek video: Rachel and Andy try to mend their ‘rocky road’ [WATCH]

In this week’s “Survivor 47” sneak peek video for Episode 9 (watch above), Rachel LaMont and Andy Rueda share a moment on the beach after making it into the top 10. The two castaways started out on the yellow Gata tribe, but were always in conflicting alliances — Rachel even voted against Andy at one tribal council. But now, that’s all water under the bridge as they try to mend their “rocky road” of a relationship.

“Despite all of this, I’ve always felt the same way about you,” Andy tells her after turning on his former Gata allies, Sierra Wright and Sam Phalen, last week. “Like, we should probably take this opportunity to actually — maybe we can work together, for real.” He calls her a “key relationship” given the current “game board.”

In a private confessional, the 31-year-old AI research assistant from Brooklyn, New York reveals, “Throughout this game, I’ve definitely broken trust with Rachel. But I do like her. I feel like we have chemistry, and we could definitely have game chemistry out here.”

Rachel responds by asking him if there’s anybody he’s “weary of,” and he brings up Kyle Ostwald because of his three individual immunity wins. She suggests that Caroline Vidmar and Sue Smey are both interested in sending home Kyle, revealing, “[They] don’t like him. They wanted him out forever. He just won’t lose.”

“We’ve had a rocky road,” the 34-year-old graphic designer from Southfield, Michigan tells the audience. “But we’re finally in a place now where we can maybe start to kind of come together and be like, ‘Hi, hello, I’m Andy, I’m Rachel.’ It’s almost like we can start over and reform something and work together on some votes.” Rachel adds, “I still have some sort of life in this game.”

The ninth episode of “Survivor 47” is titled “Nightmare Fuel” and will air on Wednesday, Nov. 13 on CBS. As of this writing, 10 people remain in the game, but only one of them will win the $1 million prize at the end of the season. Have YOU made your “Survivor” predictions yet?
