At the end of this week’s ninth episode of “Survivor 47,” viewers got their first glimpse of next week’s edition, titled “Loyal to the Soil,” and it’ll be one for the record books. Why? Because Sue Smey appears to have an epic meltdown over Kyle Ostwald, and even claims she wants to “kill” him in the preview trailer. (Murder is definitely against the rules.)

“Kyle? I hate him,” the 59-year-old flight school owner from Putnam Valley, N.Y., openly declares while walking through the jungle. She follows up that blunt statement with these other gems: “I want to kill him,” “He’s f—ing done,” and “I want to kill you, Kyle!” Sue then slices her machete violently into a coconut — hmm, is she picturing Kyle’s head as she does so?

Sue and Kyle started out their game together on the blue Tuku tribe, with the 31-year-old construction worker from Cheyboygan, Mich., writing her name down at their first tribal council on Day 5. (Terran “TK” Foster was sent packing that night instead). Since then, the two castaways have been on the outs, with Sue openly ignoring his various olive branch offerings.

Tuku didn’t attend tribal council again until Day 13, and that was after the merge when host Jeff Probst randomly divided all of the remaining players into two groups, and Tuku just happened to be put together with Rachel LaMont. After Rachel used her Safety Without Power advantage to escape tribal council, Sue and Kyle worked together with Caroline Vidmar and Gabe Ortis to send home Tiyana Hallums.

And everything was good again with Sue and Kyle. Right? Wrong.

This week, she slyly revealed to the audience, “The first time Tuku went to tribal, Kyle wrote my name down. So tonight, my plan was to do a blindside on Kyle.” However, after learning that Solomon “Sol” Yi was going after Gabe, her No. 1 ally, that changed everything for Sue. “If I lose Gabe, my whole game is shot,” she explained. So the new target became Sol, with Genevieve Mushaluk successfully leading that mission and sending him to the jury hut.

Also in the preview trailer for next week’s episode, Andy Rueda refers to himself as the “smiling assassin” as he tries to bond with Teeny Chirichillo and Rachel, and Sam Phalen vows to get his revenge and “twist the knife” into the people who betrayed him over the Sierra Wright vote-out.

Season 47, Episode 10 of “Survivor” will air on Wednesday, Nov. 20 on CBS.
