'Swan Lake,' 'Nutcracker' and more coming for Indianapolis Ballet's new season

Another major collaboration as well as traditional and new works are on deck for Indianapolis Ballet's new season. In the fall of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, the company will bring the third act of "Raymonda," "The Nutcracker" and a shortened version of "Sleeping Beauty," along with a bevy of newly choreographed works.

And in March, the ballet will partner with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Butler University's Clowes Memorial Hall for the second year in a row. This time, the organizations will produce the classic "Swan Lake."

Patrons can renew season subscriptions now, and public sales for subscriptions begin June 17. Single tickets go on sale July 22 for "Swan Lake," and sales start Aug. 5 for other regular season productions. To buy tickets, visit indyballet.org.

Here's Indianapolis Ballet's 2024-2025 season:

'Swan Lake'

March 28-29, 2025, at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University, 4602 Sunset Ave.

Light and darkness clash and combine in this tale about Odette and Odile — and Odette's mission to break a cruel curse by finding true and faithful love. 'Swan Lake' will be the ballet's second large-scale collaboration in as many years with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Clowes.

Sleeping Beauty Suite

April 25-27, 2025, at the Tobias Theatre at Newfields

The suite is a shortened version of the classic tale about the curse that commits Aurora to 100 years of sleep and the prince who awakens her.
