Sweden’s Capital Gets a New Taylor Swift-Inspired Nickname Ahead of Eras Tour Shows
Taylor Swift
As if we haven't gotten plenty of examples of this by now, it's never been more clear that Taylor Swift's influence stretches far beyond the reach of just her fans, something that is being made apparent, once again, by Sweden's (yes, the country) latest move.
In honor of the pop star's record-breaking international Eras Tour heading to the European destination for its next stop, the country's capital of Stockholm has temporarily declared itself "Swiftholm."
The concert series is currently on a brief hiatus after Swift's Paris shows, which saw the likes of her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, pal Gigi Hadid, actor Bradley Cooper and others in attendance.
The "Cruel Summer" songstress is set to touch down in Sweden on Friday, May 17, and perform there for three shows throughout the weekend, before heading to Portugal the weekend after for show dates on May 24-25.

As for Stockholm's new nickname inspired by the "Lavender Haze" singer, fans chimed in on social media with their reactions to the support from the Nordic country.
"Oh... this is great!!!" one proclaimed, while another confidently declared, "AS THEY SHOULD."
One shared their pointed opinion, writing, "taycouver and tayronto will always hold first place, sorry Sweden. it’s still a good name though!!!" in reference to Vancouver and Toronto seemingly giving themselves nicknames first.
Meanwhile, others couldn't help but join in the celebration, as one exclaimed, "Stockholm knows how to welcome a pop queen! Can't wait for the Eras Tour to light up Swiftholm!"
"Welcome to Swiftholm," the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the city chimed in, unabashedly confirming the love for The Tortured Poets Department artist.
