SXSW Sydney Announces First Artists For 2024 Music Festival
SXSW Sydney has shared its first round of acts that will be performing across the city this October as part of the conference’s music festival. The organisers have shared 12 acts from the program, which is topped by Heartbreak High star Ayesha Madon – who released her latest single, ‘Eulogy’, in March 2024. The full first announcement, as well as dates for this year’s SXSW Sydney, can be found below.
Joining Madon in the festivities are several international acts making their Australian debuts. Among these are Colombian band BALTHVS, Japanese-Filipino singer-songwriter Ena Mori and Korean producer 404. On the local front, artists such as Nick Ward, total tommy and SAHXL will also perform.

In a press statement, Geoff Jones – the chair of SXSW Sydney and the CEO of TEG Group – said that he and his team were “inspired by the overwhelming response from the creator communities to participate in the 2024 program”. “SXSW Sydney is about discovery, and [is] an opportunity to be surrounded by the best and brightest minds,” he said. “This year’s SXSW promises to be as inspiring as ever.”
SXSW Sydney made its debut in October of last year. It included the world premiere of The Wiggles‘ documentary Hot Potato, talks from Queer Eye‘s Tan France and Chance The Rapper and musical performances from Otoboke Beaver, Los Bitchos, Sorry, Barkaa, Tkay Maidza, 1300 and Ben Lee, amongst dozens of others at venues across the city. The conference announced its 2024 return back in December, and is set to take place between Monday October 14th and Sunday October 20th.
