SZA was the epitome of soft and feminine at the 2024 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards last night. The singer attended the Los Angeles event at the Fairmont Century Plaza to pick up the BMI Champion Awards. For the event, she wore a pink fluttering dress with cutouts as well as a pair of crystal encrusted, flower embellished, wrap around sandals.
The musician’s dress is a custom design from Kitschy Couture. It was styled by Matthew and Reginald Reisman. The look features large cut outs. It also features oversized flower embellishments as well as green accents, meant to pose as green leaves on the flowers.
For shoes, the singer wore a pair of sparkling sandals. The shoes are from Rene Caovilla and are completely covered in crystals. They feature two thin straps around the foot, each with a large silver flower, as well as a strap wrapping up and around the ankle. This latter strap features a multitude of pink flowers, all embellished with crystals.
The open toe sandal features a stiletto heel of over four inches. The silhouette is Caovilla’s “Floraine” shoe.
Rene Caovilla’s Floraine sandal is being sold for $2,250.
The spiral ankle wrap is a signature for the brand. In June, rapper Saweetie wore a pair of sandals from the company that also featured the wrap.
The full look puts Sza on par with the coquette trend. Though many affiliate bows with the coquette trend, that feminine aesthetic also includes flower embellishments and is often pink-filtered.
