Bellamacina and Bethany co-wrote the script. This is their second collaboration following Tell That To The Winter Sea, which was exclusively released on Apple TV following a UK theatrical run and distributed by Kaleidoscope worldwide.
All Five Eyes is described as a “female drama” set in a small English village in 1967. Per the synopsis, the film explores the relationship between Cecily (Bellamacina) and Marion (Swinton Byrne), as they grapple with their identities while caring for their disabled younger sister, Willa (Lawson). Cecily, upright and conscientious, runs the local girls’ finishing school, while Marion explores what it means to be a young woman grasping the new social freedoms of the late 1960s. Their differences reach a boiling point over their relationship with Willa, which leads to each sister making their own decision on what it means to have a life worth living.
Kauer and Kelly are cast as precocious schoolgirls and best friends Helena and Juliette, Wuest has joined as Sister Marguerite, a nun who runs the local convent.
All Five Eyes is a U.K./U.S. co-production from Sulk Youth Films and BKE Productions in association with Valmora. Producers currently include Grace Cavanagh-Butler, Carl Black, and C.C. Kellogg.
