Taco Luchador in the Highlands has closed after 8 years in business
A longtime location of a popular Louisville taco chain has closed.
Taco Luchador’s location in the Highlands recently shut its doors following eight years in business, the restaurant announced on Facebook.
The Baxter Avenue eatery served its last customers on New Year’s Eve.
“Our Highlands location is CLOSED,” read the post to Taco Luchador’s 8,000 followers. “We appreciate your years of support and ask that you continue to visit us at our St. Matthews and J-town locations.”
The other locations include 112 Meridian Ave. in St. Matthews and 10305 Taylorsville Road in Jeffersontown.
At one point last year, Taco Luchador had four locations in Louisville. In May 2023, its location at Colonial Gardens closed.
The taco joint is owned by Olé Hospitality Group, which also runs Guaca Mole, La Bodeguita de Mima, Steak and Bourbon and Se?ora Arepa.
A new location of Se?ora Arepa could be moving into the Taco Luchador spot in the Highlands. In early December, the group applied for a liquor license for Se?ora Arepa at 938 Baxter Ave.
Messages to Rick Moir, managing partner of Olé Restaurant Group, were not returned as of Tuesday.
