Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison Talks ‘Stop Making Sense’ On ‘Lipps Service’
Talking Heads guitarist Jerry Harrison is the latest guest on the SPIN Presents Lipps Service podcast, during which he discusses the band’s unexpected reunion to promote the remastered version of their legendary concert film Stop Making Sense, getting his start with Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers and the development of the iconic New York rock scene of the 1970s.
The veteran musician and host Scott Lipps also talk about Harrison’s work as a producer, performing at Gram Parsons’ funeral, touring with the Ramones, his top five punk bands and the top five things he misses most about vintage New York.
