Taraji P. Henson headed to New England for the 22nd Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival in support of her upcoming project “Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.” On Aug. 10 on the island, the actress wore a black jumpsuit with Schiaparelli heels for a screening and discussion of the drama miniseries.
A fan of a statement black outfit, Henson dressed up in a strapless black jumpsuit with a curved asymmetrical neckline. The garment was mostly fitted while the pants flared at the bottom and grazed the floor. The focal point of the outfit was a chain belt from Schiaparelli featuring a range of ornaments — one was shaped like a nose, one like an eye and one like a pair of lips, to name a few. Made of gilded brass, the Bijoux chain belt retails for 3600 euros from the Italian brand.
Henson completed the look with a pair of Schiaparelli’s recognizable gold toe shoes. She appeared to be wearing the Trompe-L’?il Toe Sandals, which feature a black T-strap and a 105 mm heel. The signature feature is the golden-hued brass toes on the front of the shoe, sculpted to resemble a bare foot. This particular style also comes with a removable satin bow which could add an oversized statement ornament to the outfit should the wearer choose to utilize it. The shoes retail for 3500 euros.
Henson was recently in Paris celebrating Team USA at the Olympics. For an event held in honor of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, she wore mesh Shark Lock boots from Givenchy. In June, she shined in metallic Roger Vivier heels at the Tony Awards. Also in June, she showed off her love of the same brand in a pair of bow-adorned pumps.
