Taye Diggs Is a Living Doll On 'Doc McStuffins'

There’s a new nurse in town on Disney’s Doc McStuffins, and it’s someone you may recognize from a past medical drama. Private Practice alum Taye Diggs is the latest guest star on the Disney Channel animated preschool series, and we have an exclusive clip that features him belting out the show’s signature song.

Diggs voices the character Dress-Up Declan, a toy dress-up doll who fills in as Doc’s nurse after her regular helper, Nurse Hallie, gets injured. In addition to helping to deliver an important message about gender equality in the nursing field, Dress-Up Declan shows off his impressive singing voice by performing his own rendition of the “Time for Your Check-Up” song. (Diggs is a Broadway veteran, so we’re glad they slipped the song segment in there!)

We’ll have to wait to see what other outfits Declan comes with, but the scrubs definitely suit him. Either way, this character is a living doll.
