Taylor Swift Fans Lose It Over Chiefs Post Taking 'Smallest Man Who Ever Lived' Literally
The Kansas City Chiefs recently shared photos of a few players, including Travis Kelce, on Instagram and fans are sure the post is a nod to Taylor Swift.
Earlier this week, the Chiefs social media team teased fans with photos of Kelce, Trent McDuffie, Carson Steele and Drue Tranquill in uniform and on the field, ready to catch the ball. While none of that is out of the ordinary, the fact that the image had been distorted so that the players appeared as a miniature version of themselves certainly grabbed eyes. As did the accompanying caption, which read: "Tiny Tuesday ??."
Given the 34-year-old tight end's very public whirlwind romance with the pop star, who has a song titled "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived," Swifties were easily convinced the Aug. 20 upload was a play on the title of the track from the 14-time Grammy winner's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
"it‘s giving The Smallest man who ever lived ????," one Instagram user wrote.
A second quipped, "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived but make it LITERAL ??????."
"i don’t think this is what taylor meant by the smallest man who ever lived," another top-liked comment read.
"TK..." a different fan praised, "still the biggest heart on the team#lionheart ??."
With the preseason upon us, fans are ready for Kelce to tackle another year of competitive matchups and based on the 34-year-old Super Bowl champ's many viral training camp clips, he's priming to give fans plenty of memorable moments on the field–and off.
Conveniently, Swift's Eras Tour just went on break for a few weeks, so she may be able to make the big 2024 NFL season kickoff game and AFC title rematch between the Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Arrowhead Stadium, but only time will tell.
