Taylor Swift Fans Lose It Over '1989' Outfit Marking an Eras Tour First
On Sunday, June 30, Taylor Swift made Eras Tour history when she repeated an outfit during the 1989 portion of her show. Or, at least since she added The Tortured Poets Department set to the three-plus-hour production.
Swift revamped her wildly popular show following the release of her 11th studio album in April. Since then, the pop superstar has rocked different skirt/top color combinations while performing during her 1989 era songs.
Ahead of each concert, many Swifties have enjoyed guessing which color combo the 34-year-old will wear. Swift never repeated an outfit for weeks on end—until now.

At Aviva Stadium on Sunday, Swift re-wore her green skirt and orange top, the same combo she rocked for the Friday, June 28 show.
A fan account pointed out the Eras Tour first on X, formerly Twitter, writing, "TAYLOR SWIFT HAS REPEATED A '1989' OUTFIT COMBINATION FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER AT TONIGHT'S SHOW OF 'THE ERAS TOUR' IN DUBLIN! #DublinTSTheErasTour."
In the comments, fans couldn't get over their shock, with many wondering what the sudden change could mean. "SHES CHANGING THE RULES WE MADE FOR HER GAME," one X user declared. "At least I was half right. I clowned for double green."
Other fans hoped the repeat look was a clue that Swift would soon announce Reputation (Taylor's Version). "ITS GIVING SNAKE OMGG REP TV IS ACTUALLY COMING," one wrote, while another exclaimed, "NAHHH REP IS GETTING ANNOUNCED TN."
Someone else joked, "She loves cosplaying as a carrot too much."
It's too soon to tell if there is a significance to Swift's costume switch-up, but we're sure Swifties will have no shortage of theories!
