For the second time in as many months, Taylor Swift fans can smell a lawsuit from a mile away after Donald Trump used her intellectual property for his political agenda.

Mere weeks after the former president unveiled campaign merchandise resembling Swift's Eras Tour branding—which came days after Swift officially endorsed Kamala Harris and condemned Trump's use of AI to make it seem like Swift endorsed him—the Trump campaign released a bold new promotional video featuring one of Swift's songs.

In the brief clip, a group of women, wearing matching pink "Women for Trump" jackets, crowded together in the frame, lip-syncing to the original version of Swift's "22." The song made it through, "Oh, oh, I don't know about you, but I'm" before morphing into another sound that goes, "voting Donald Trump baby," over the beat of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" (which samples Queen and David Bowie's "Under Pressure").

With Swift repeatedly making her feelings clear about Trump's political standing and his use of her music without her permission, the singer's fans felt certain there would be a "lawsuit on the way."

Many others couldn't help but laugh over Trump's hypocrisy in using Swift's music after blatantly stating how much he dislikes her when he wrote "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" on his Truth Social platform.

"Didn't he hate her? ??," one reply pointed out, while someone else joked that the "Cease and desist gonna hit like a truck."

As of writing, Swift has not made additional comments regarding Trump's use of her music or likeness. She has not made public indications of suing, either. But if there's one thing fans know about the "Mastermind" singer, she always strikes when the time is right.
