Taylor Swift can fly on time to see Travis Kelce in Super Bowl, Japan embassy in US assures

Swifties should not fear that Taylor Swift will miss seeing boyfriend Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl, Japanese officials say.

Japan is a long flight from anywhere in the U.S., but Swift will easily make it to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas if she leaves Tokyo in the evening after a concert there, the Japanese embassy in Washington says.

“The Embassy of Japan in the United States is aware of recent media reports concerning the steps Taylor Swift will need to take to travel from Tokyo after her concert on February 10th to Las Vegas in time to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play in Super Bowl LVIII,” said the statement issued Friday.

Swift’s relationship with Kelce, a tight end for the Chiefs, has been the talk of the NFL season.

“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” the embassy’s statement says — adding a not-so-subtle reference to the singer’s third studio album.

It’s a bit of good news for Swifties. Earlier in the week, they were hit with an onslaught of right-wing conspiracy theories about Swift, Kelce and the Super Bowl, including baseless claims that Swift has been serving as a Pentagon asset aiding President Joe Biden’s reelection.

Some conspiracy theorists claim Chiefs games have been rigged in order to get them to the Super Bowl and create an even bigger platform for Swift and Kelce’s secret agenda.

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and One America News Network host Alison Steinberg were just some of the right-wing figures who have supported the conspiracies in recent days, reports CBS News.

Last week, Swift again found herself at the center of controversy when her name became briefly unsearchable on X, due to a flood of deepfake pornographic and violent images of the pop star which were being shared by users.

With the Super Bowl still just under a week away, Swift should be able to escape much of the media frenzy and focus on her tour, which is scheduled to restart in Tokyo on Wednesday.
