New Taylor Swift laser show lights up the Kenner Planetarium
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is five months away from hitting the Caesars Superdome, but if you want to get your fix this summer, the Kenner Planetarium is showing a new Taylor Swift laser show using lasers to illustrate Swift’s hit songs.
There’s lots of star gazing going on at the Kenner Planetarium, but there’s one star that’s brighter than all the rest.
“I think Taylor Swift is a super superstar,” said Phillip Callais.

An out-of-this-world Swift laser show is now showing in the skies to light up Swifties’ eyes.
“I think the laser show brings her songs to life. Full of colorful animations and lights flashing across a 50-foot dome. It makes your really feel her music,” said Kenner Mayor Assistant Heidi Glorioso.
Glorioso said the 50-minute show is filled with Swift’s hits ranging from the launch of her career with “Our Song” to recent hits that have skyrocketed to the top of the charts like “Blank Space,” “Cruel Summer,” “Willow” and “Shake It Off.”
“We’ve done it for several field trip groups, and at the beginning, the young boys groan and moan about it, but by the end they are singing and dancing just like the girls are,” said Glorioso.
The Marrero Harvey Senior Center group enjoyed this intergalactic pop music extravaganza Wednesday.

“I liked the colors. They kept up with the beat of the music,” said Donna Autin.
“I had to get up and dance to it,” said Paulette Murphy.
“Every generation has icons like Elvis and the Beatles and this generation’s is Taylor Swift,” said Glorioso.
Your next chance to see the Swift laser show is Saturday, May 25, at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Then, on July 13, the Kenner Planetarium will host a “13-Hours of Laser Taylor Swift.” Shows will repeat hourly starting at 9 a.m. and go to 10 p.m. Admission is $13 per person, per show. There will also be activities, swag, snacks, and more. For more information, call 504-468-7231.
This summer, the planetarium will also offer private Taylor Swift laser showings to groups of 50 or more.
