Taylor Swift Makes Grammys History By Winning Album Of The Year Four Times
Taylor Swift won Album of the Year for Midnights at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, 5th February. The singer made history by becoming the first person to win Album of the Year four times. Taylor Swift’s previous winning records were tied with legends Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Paul Simon. They hold three Album of the Year awards.
However, she became the most-awarded woman in the category in 2021 with a Folklore win. She also claimed the same title in 2016 for 1989 and in 2010 for her album Fearless, making her the youngest artist to achieve such a feat at that time.
Taylor Swift On Winning The Album Of The Year – “I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life”
During her acceptance speech for Album of The Year at the Grammys, Taylor Swift said, “I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life’. She said. “But I feel this happy when I’ve finished a song or when I’ve cracked the code to a bridge that I love or when I’m shot listing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show.”
The singer credited her long-time collaborator and producer Jack Antonoff “I get to work with one of my best friends who is not only one of my best friends but also a once-in-a-generation producer. That’s Jack Antonoff. I’m so lucky,’
Taylor Swift also thanked Lana Del Rey, who featured on the album’s fourth track, ‘Snow on the Beach’. “But I think so many female artists would not be where they are and would not have the inspiration they have if it weren’t for the work that [Lana has] done.” She concluded her speech by saying. “I think she’s a legacy artist, a legend in her prime right now. I’m so lucky to know you and to be your friend.”
