Taylor Swift closes Singapore Eras Tour with country-themed mashup
Taylor Swift is playing the National Stadium in Singapore for six nights on her only Southeast Asia tour stop on the Eras Tour. For the acoustic set, the star continued her 2024 trend of mashups for the guitar and piano.
"I kind of thought since this is the last show for awhile and this is the end of the leg for this tour and we've had such a wonderful time, I've been a little bit nostalgic," Swift said. "I thought maybe I should go back to the beginning."
For the final night in Singapore, Swift mashed up of "Tim McGraw" off her debut album with "Cowboy Like Me" from "Evermore" on the guitar and mixed "Mirrorball" and "Epiphany" from "Folklore" on the piano.
Night five includes 'False God' + 'Slut!'
"I just wanted this to be a surprise for every single show," Swift said with Travis Kelce in the crowd. "It keeps me on my toes. It keeps you on your toes."
She played one of her "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" hits, "Sparks Fly," with "Gold Rush" from "Evermore" on the guitar.
Before she dived into the stage, she combined "False God" from "Lover" with "Slut!" from "1989 (Taylor's Version)."
'Count to 10, take it in' on night four
"These songs are total surprises for everyone in the room except me," she laughed holding her guitar on night four.
First, Swift fused "Death By A Thousand Cuts" from "Lover" with "Babe" from "Red (Taylor's Version)." Before the bridge, she strummed and said, "Ready?" to the crowd and they went wild before singing "My heart, my hips..." with her.
On the piano, she melded "Fifteen" from "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" with "You're On Your Own Kid" from "Midnights."
Night three, 'call it what you want'
For night three, Swift combined "Foolish One" from "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" and "Tell Me Why" from "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" on the guitar and "This Love" from "1989 (Taylor's Version)" and "Call It What You Want" from "Reputation" on the piano.
"I'm trying to play things from lots of different eras," she said, "lots of different albums."
Story time for night two
On night two, Swift strummed a mashup of "Long Story Short" from "Evermore" and "The Story of Us" from "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" on the guitar.
Before she performed on the keys, Swift made a surprise announcement to the crowd regarding a fourth variant for her eleventh album, "The Tortured Poets Department."
"I kind of wanted to show you something that nobody else has seen," she said before showing the artwork. Then, she performed a mashup of "Clean" from "1989 (Taylor's Version)" and the title track from "Evermore" on the piano.
Two 'Reputation' songs for night one
"This has become my favorite part of the show," Swift said on Saturday, "because it's become just very chaotic and it's become a challenge for me to think of new things to do for every single city and just hope I'm doing something that you guys might like."
On night one, Swift blended "Mine" from "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" with "Starlight" from "Red (Taylor's Version)" on the guitar and performed a mashup of "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" from the "Fifty Shades Darker" movie soundtrack and "Dress" from "Reputation" on the piano.
Swift will perform for six nights in Singapore before taking a two-month break. Her next show is in Paris on May 9.
