Taylor Swift Reacts to ‘Unexpected Memories’ Made on Latest Eras Tour Stop
It's no secret that Taylor Swift has been drawing crowds of record-breaking size on her massively popular Eras Tour, but her recent stop in Munich, Germany, attracted even more Swifties than the singer herself anticipated.
Swift posted about her Munich shows on Instagram on Wednesday, July 31, expressing her surprise and delight over how many fans showed up for her shows in the German city. Not only was the Olympiastadion filled, but thousands of people congregated on a huge hill overlooking the stage to catch a glimpse of the star in action.
"What a magical experience it was playing in Munich," Swift wrote in her caption. "The crowds of 74,000 people a night in the stadium were so passionate, and so generous to us. And I had no idea before I got to Munich that there’s a huge park behind the stadium, but around 50,000 people came out and listened to the show from the hillside both nights. I’ve been watching so many videos of the crowds out there fully participating in the show from afar, all that joy… I’m feeling really grateful for the unexpected memories this tour has created. We have 11 shows left on the European leg of the tour, kicking off *August* with 3 shows in Warsaw!"

One of the "unexpected memories" from Munich referenced by Swift in her post might be the moment audience members revealed a special fan project. Right before performing her song "Willow" from the album Evermore, Swift looked up to see the crowd holding handmade light-up orbs like the ones her dancers use during the song. The singer seemed to say "oh my god" before smiling and launching into the tune.
