Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Inspire US Embassy Job Listing
The U.S. Embassy in London appears eager to bring some Swifties into the office.
In a job posting shared on social media on Tuesday, July 2, the embassy alerted its followers about a new job opportunity by referencing a recent viral moment involving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
“Take inspiration from Travis Kelce on stage with Taylor Swift at #LondonTSTheErasTour at Wembley & elevate your career by checking out our new job vacancy for a Public Engagement Assistant in our Public Affairs Team, to plan & implement all things exchanges & share opportunities with people from across the UK to experience the U.S.,” the embassy’s post said.

Accompanying the post on Instagram and on X, formerly Twitter, was a photo of Swift and Kelce, both 34, onstage during the pop star’s June 23 Eras Tour concert in London. The embassy posed a question beneath the photo that read, “Thinking of exchanging your career?” The post concluded by urging interested job seekers to “Discover further details & apply” at a link that led to the U.S. Embassy & Consulates in the United Kingdom’s jobs page.
“The social media team deserves a raise,” one X user wrote in response to the job listing, adding they “bet that you are flooded with applications for that open position.”

Some X users praised the “clever” job listing, with one writing, “Well done, guys!” Others indicated they were already game to submit their applications, writing, “brb applying rn.”
Fans of the “Cruel Summer” songstress were shocked to see her NFL star boyfriend appear onstage during her third consecutive show at Wembley Stadium last month. While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end had attended her shows in London the two previous nights, the June 23 concert marked his first time joining her onstage.
Kelce later explained that the whole thing was his idea, though his role during the performance was a bit different from what he first suggested. During a Wednesday, July 3 episode of New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with his older brother Jason, Kelce said he initially pitched the idea of riding a bike onto the Eras Tour stage during the 1989 section of Swift’s performance. The "Fortnight" singer later found “the perfect part of the show for me to come in,” he said.
Though fans of the power couple are eager for another opportunity to see them onstage together, it’s unclear if or when it’ll happen. For now, Swift is preparing for a trio of shows in the Netherlands that start on July 4 before she takes her hit international tour to Switzerland.
