Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Spend Romantic Weekend in NYC, Sparking ‘Reputation’ Album Rumors

Fresh off the Kansas City Chiefs win on Monday, October 7, singer Taylor Swift and tight end Travis Kelce decided to celebrate in New York City. The pair were seen out not once but two times, and we have all the must-know details below, including what people think Swift’s outfits might be an easter egg for.

The first stop on Swift and Kelce’s romantic weekend was a double date with none other than Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. This was the first time Swift had been seen out with Lively and Reynolds since the It Ends With Us controversy in August. 

During their night out, the “Lover” singer wore a black mini skirt, paired with a tan and black corset top, a calf-length trench coat, chunky black platform boots and a black Christian Dior Saddle Bag. 

Kelce, on the other hand, wore white tennis shoes, navy blue pants and a navy blue button-down shirt featuring drawings of people and horses. 

The two were spotted holding hands while entering The Corner Store restaurant but were not pictured with Lively or Reynolds at the time.

Just one night after grabbing dinner with their friends, Swift and Kelce stepped out yet again, this time to have dinner at Torrisi—an Italian restaurant in Soho, Manhattan. 

Kelce once again wore a blue shirt and white sneakers but with camel cargo pants. Swift completely changed her look, opting for a matching all-gold velvet corset and skirt. The singer paired it with chunky, open-toed sandals and a black and gold cross-body bag—which many people think is an “easter egg” for an upcoming album.

Swifties were quick to notice that the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer has been wearing a lot of plaid recently. 

She recently wore the pattern to the 2024 Men's US Open Finals, which she attended with Kelce. She then wore it again to dinner on August 14, 2024, before sporting it once more at the 2024 Video Music Awards (VMAs). Most recently, the singer wore it to the October 7 Chiefs game to cheer on Kelce and when she went out to dinner with him later that week. 

Many fans believe that Swift is doing this to hint at her recording Reputation (Taylor’s Verison), which people have been anxiously waiting for since Swift announced she would be rerecording her first six albums after Scooter Baurn sold the album's masters to Shamrock Holdings in 2019. 

This is because in 2017, before she released the original Reputation album, she was seen out and about in a lot of plaids. 

Also, this weekend, when Swift wore that black crossbody on Saturday, October 12, people were quick to notice that the letters “R” and “C” were quite visible on the front of the bag, potentially also hinting at Reputation (Taylor’s Verison). 

Online fans of the singers believe Swift is going to announce Reputation (Taylor’s Verison) on Friday, October 18, in Miami, Florida, when she kicks off the last leg of her wildly successful Era’s Tour. This came after the singer added her song “Florida!!!” to the last night of her European leg. 

The re-release date for Swift's sixth studio album has been speculated a lot before, though, so it’s quite possible that us Swifites may be wrong once again. Only time will tell.
