Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Opener Offers Candid Opinion of the 'Way She Does Business'
Katie Gavin, the lead singer of MUNA, one of the many acts that had the opportunity to tour with Taylor Swift throughout her massive Eras Tour over the last nearly two years, is opening up about how the "Mastermind" singer runs her "ship."
In a new interview with NME ahead of the release of her debut solo album, What a Relief, Gavin reflected on the band's time with Swift on her "gargantuan" catwalk as she gets ready to embark on a much more intimate tour in support of the new release. She also made note of the positive energy that is imbued throughout Swift's team.

The "Number One Fan" singer likened performing on Swift's stage to being "a kid on a playground," noting that she was "just running around the whole time.” Having "fun" was easy given that "[Swift] runs a very happy ship."
She explained, "...everyone that works for her feels very considered and cared for, which I think is very impressive as there are so many people. But I think it makes the show as special as it is."
"I really respect the way she does business,” Gavin added.
As the quote made the rounds on Stan X (formerly Stan Twitter), longtime Swifties weren't surprised, with one replying, "There’s a reason her band has been with her for basically her entire career."
Guitarist Paul Sidoti, bassist Amos Heller, and keyboardist Michael Meadows have been with Swift since her Fearless Tour in 2009, if not earlier, while musical director David Cook joined the team ahead of the Speak Now World Tour. Drummer Matthew Billingslea and vocalists Kamilah Marshall, Eliotte Woodford, and Melanie Nyema have performed with Swift since the Red Tour in 2013.
