Ted Lasso Finally Eyeing Season 4 Renewal at Apple TV+, With Several Stars Poised to Return
It’s looking like Ted Lasso may score a fourth season after all.
Warner Bros. Television has reportedly picked up the options on three of the Apple TV+ comedy’s original stars — Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift — our sister site Deadline reports. Those three key cast members had previously been contracted under Equity, a UK acting union.

The next step would be to make deals with SAG-AFTRA members, with several names already reportedly at the top of the studio’s list: Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt, who also co-created and executive-produced the show, and Juno Temple.
If negotiations go smoothly and all other production elements come together, Season 4 is reportedly eyeing an early 2025 start.
Other series regulars in Season 3 included Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed, Anthony Head, Tobeeb Jimoh, Cristo Fernandez, Kola Bokinni, Billy Harris and James Lance.
A potential fourth season of Ted Lasso has long been a source of speculation (and frustration) as Apple never confirmed that Season 3 — which wrapped in May 2023 — marked the end of the series, despite it feeling like an unofficial sendoff.
The finale culminated in Coach Lasso’s return to Kansas, where he was reunited with his son Henry. His inevitable trip home was preceded by a miraculous end to AFC Richmond’s season, which saw the Greyhounds defeat West Ham United but come in second to Manchester City.
