Ted Season 2 Gets the Green Light at Peacock
A second season of the Ted series has been given the green light at Peacock following the success of the first season, which hit the streaming service in January and became Peacock's most-watched original series.
The series serves as a prequel to the 2012 and 2015 films from Seth MacFarlane, where MacFarlane voices the titular teddy bear opposite Mark Wahlberg, who plays his best friend, John Bennett.
Ted the series throws us back to 1993, where Ted the bear's moment of fame has passed. He's now back home in Massachusetts, living with his best friend, John Bennett, and his family. Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but he's a loyal pal who goes the extra mile for friendship.
Max Burkholder stars as a younger John Bennett, while MacFarlane voices Ted. Other cast members include Alanna Ubach as Susan Bennett, Scott Grimes as Matty Bennett, Giorgia Whigham as Blaire Bennett, Ara Hollyday as Andrew, and Liz Richman as Polly.
The seven-episode series was created by MacFarlane, who also served as an executive producer on the project with Aimee Carlson, Jason Clark, Paul Corrigan, Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman and Brad Walsh.
Where the story of Ted and John will take them next is yet to be determined, but with the green light shining bright, it shouldn't be long before audiences get to see the famous teddy bear in action once more.
