Teresa Giudice says she's taking marriage to Joe 'day by day' after Italy visit
Teresa Giudice isn’t sure what the future holds with Joe.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s interview with Good Morning America ran Thursday in which she discusses her recent trip to Italy, with the couple’s daughters, to see her husband, who’s living there while waiting for his final deportation ruling.
The reality star said the trip wasn’t about her and Juicy Joe sorting out their marital situation, it was about “focusing on our daughters” — Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10 — who were “overjoyed” to see their felon dad. “It really wasn’t about us,” Teresa said.

While the trip may not have been about them, the line of questioning during the interview certainly was. Giudice was asked if they are divorcing and about the cheating rumors.
Responding to the divorce question, she answered, “Not anytime...” but before she could get the word “soon” out, she changed course with a “No.”
As for whether she remained faithful to him during his 41-month incarceration — and throughout their 20-year marriage — she gave a convincing, “Yes.” However, she seemed less certain if he cheated on her, saying, “I never caught him” so the infidelity rumors remain “hearsay.”
Giudice said frankly that she doesn’t know if she sees a future with Joe, adding, “Imagine if [your husband] lived in Italy and you lived here. I mean — I don’t know. I don’t know if that is a feasible relationship.”
However, at this point everything is “to be determined” and “we’re taking it day by day.”
And if they don’t stay together? “We only really want the best for each other. We really do,” Giudice insisted, fighting back tears. She said that’s what made her keep “crying on the trip” — knowing that they care about each other but that their future is up in the air.
Giudice also said that she does think about a future without him — having already been living apart for him while they served their respective sentences for fraud. She said she thinks she could find love again with someone new.
“Of course I do. I’m still young,” said the 47-year-old. “And if it does go that path, I want the same for Joe.”
She’s would really be OK seeing him with someone else? “If that’s the path we choose, yes,” Giudice said.
Not only did she talk about a future with someone else, but she also didn’t seem that interested in going back to Italy on a solo trip to work on her marriage.
“I don’t know about that,” she said. “We’ll see. I don’t know.”
In fact, in an interview with People, Giudice said that her daughters are planning to head back to Italy to spend Christmas with their dad — and she’s unsure if she’ll join them.
“It depends on my work schedule,” she told the magazine.
The Giudices recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, in October, apart with the reality TV star in New Jersey and her husband in Italy, where he was born and where he was sent after being released from ICE custody on Oct. 11.
The pair have been living apart for four years after they were convicted on various fraud charges in 2014. The next year, she served 11 months in prison and he then spent 41 months incarcerated, in staggered sentences. Because he was born in Italy and never applied for U.S. citizenship., it was ruled he would be deported. While appealing, he was in ICE custody — where he family visited him but he said the conditions were abysmal — and he opted to return to Italy last month while it is sorted out.
