Teyana Taylor arrived at The King’s Trust Gala in New York City on Thursday, wearing Marc Jacobs’ boots.
The “Coming 2 America” actress arrived at Casa Cipriani for the annual gala that helps to raise funds to support the global youth charity, which was established in 1976 by King Charles III. This year’s event was hosted by Lionel Richie and Edward Enninful OBE. Although the king was not in attendance, other stars supported the cause including Kate Moss, Drew Barrymore, Sam Smith and John Legend who performed some of his greatest hits including “All of Me” and “Ordinary People.”
Taylor often gravitates toward elongated styles of footwear. To attend the 2024 Revolve Festival last month, she slipped into denim knee-high boots. She wore another pair of leather platform boots to the Versace x Net-A-Porter event on March 7. Earlier that day, she was spotted in Los Angeles wearing a pair of knee-high boots, dressed in a textured leather which was embellished with fringe and silver rings.
About The Shoes
$595
Taylor stepped out in a pair of Marc Jacobs’ Kiki Knee-High boots. Silver buckles traveled down the center of the fitted sleeve, stopping shortly before the square toe. The set brought exaggerated height to the look with a platform base and a block heel that stood 6 inches tall. The designer first debuted the leather heels on the fall 2016 runway. The set retails for $595.
Recently, platform heels are favored among stars including Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz and Storm Reid, who was seen wearing an Andrea Wazen pair to the 2024 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards earlier this month.
About Platform Heels
While platform heels have been around for a very long time, the style has become more popular over the past decade. The set features an elevated sole which forces the heel to bring at least 4 inches of height to any look. The platform sole helps add support and comfortability to a pair without sacrificing the height.
