‘The Bachelor’: Ben and Lauren Reveal How They Kept Their Relationship Secret
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell stopped by Monday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live after The Bachelor finale. They’ve been together since Ben proposed to her in the final episode, but that was filmed in November.
In order to not spoil the show, the couple resorted to seeing each other in a covert series of rendezvous set up by the show. Ben explained that the meet-ups were called “happy couples.” They met at a house in the Los Angeles area for a few days and were not allowed to leave.
Ben described a particularly interesting stay. “It was this mansion, but they had moved out but they had a couch and a bed. And they didn’t check to see if they had Wi-Fi, cable television, a hot tub, a pool.” The couple were essentially prisoners of a large house with nothing to do. Jimmy Kimmel jokingly asked, “And how much sex can you have? Let’s be honest, nobody’s a teenager here.”
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
