‘The Good Place’ Season Finale Has a Crazy ‘Bad’ Twist
The first season of The Good Place came to an end Thursday night, and fans were surprised by the “bad” twist ending. Warning: If you’ve been watching The Good Place, or plan on watching it, or think you might want to watch it at some point but you’re not sure when you’re gonna find the time because there’s so much good TV to watch and you’re still not caught up on Homeland but whether you end up watching it or not you don’t want the ending of the first season spoiled, then you should stop reading now.
After visiting the Middle Place, Eleanor, Janet, and Jason headed back to the Good Place so Eleanor and Jason could be sent to the Bad Place. Although, once they got back, the judge decided that they all had to choose which two would go to the Bad Place. While everyone was bickering about who was going to go, Eleanor had an epiphany. She called Michael out and told everyone, “They’re never gonna call a train to take us to the Bad Place because they can’t, we’re already here. This is the Bad Place!”

As it turned out, they were all put in the pseudo Good Place to torture each other, a devious plan that Michael concocted. The plan failed, but that didn’t mean Michael was going to stop trying. He erased their memories, but before he was able to do that, Eleanor wrote herself a note and hid it in Janet’s mouth. When memory-free Eleanor woke up, ready to start her journey in the Good Place all over again, Janet found her and delivered the note. The season ended with Eleanor reading the note she wrote to herself: “Eleanor— Find Chidi.”
The Good Place airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Good Place for free on Yahoo View.
