The Obamas’ Most Memorable TV Moments
Their time in the White House may be coming to an end, but we can only hope that President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama continue to appear on television.
Whether you agree with the politics of the past eight years or not, it’s hard to deny the fun presence the Obamas have had on TV. Looking back on two terms’ worth of moments, we found that a lot of the most memorable moments came from their appearances on talk shows. Like slow jamming the news on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, reading mean tweets on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and sitting between two ferns with Zach Galifianakis, to name a few.

The president poking fun at Donald Trump’s birther movement on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno back in 2012 definitely stands out as a great moment. This, of course, was long before a Trump presidency was a potential reality.
The first lady’s TV appearances, whether for a pushup contest with Ellen DeGeneres or an “Ew!” sketch with Jimmy Fallon, are equally as memorable as her husband’s. And who can forget watching POTUS and FLOTUS dance to “At Last,” sung by Beyoncé, at President Obama’s inaugural ball in 2009?
Even though this video ends with the president’s “Obama out” microphone-drop moment, here’s to hoping we get much more of the Obamas on TV for years to come.
