‘The Real’ Hosts Speak Out for the First Time Since Tamar Braxton’s Firing
Extra’s Mario Lopez sat down with the ladies of The Real and addressed the firing of Tamar Braxton from the show. When asked by Lopez how they felt about moving forward without Braxton, Loni Love spoke for the group. “We want to let all of our fans know that we love them and we were totally taken by surprise when we found out that Tamar wouldn’t be returning to The Real,” explained Love. “You know we love her.”
Love did her best to put a positive spin on a situation that got ugly very quickly. In an Instagram post on May 22, Braxton claimed she had been “stabbed in the back.” There have also been multiple reports of Braxton feuding with Love. But in a radio interview, Love said the two haven’t spoken. “I haven’t talked to Tamar, but I’ve seen her messages. She’s made her peace with the show,” Love told The Tom Joyner Morning Show. “But we’re going to miss her. She was an asset to the show.”
The rest of the Real hosts sent their own well-wishes at the time of the firing but made it clear to Lopez that they are moving forward.
