Third and final season of “Bosch: Legacy” coming in 2025: 'You have not seen the last of Harry Bosch!'

Author Michael Connelly teases that Bosch will appear in his upcoming series starring Maggie Q.

Harry Bosch is back on the case — but not for long, as police procedural Bosch: Legacy is set to return for a third and final season.

Author Michael Connelly, an executive producer and author of the novels on which the show is based, revealed the news in the social media post below. He specifically called out star Titus Welliver.

"I'm happy to announce that the third season of Bosch: Legacy will premiere on Prime in March. I think it's our best yet," Connelly wrote. "It will also be the last season, bringing to a fitting close a 10 season run with this character, played so well by Titus Welliver. But fear not, we are currently in production on the Renée Ballard show. And if you know anything about my books, then you know you have not seen the last of Harry Bosch!"

The current Bosch series, which airs on Prime Video, is a continuation of the Los Angeles detective's saga, which aired from 2014 to 2021 on Prime. In addition to Welliver, both shows star Mimi Rogers, who plays the deliciously named defense lawyer Honey Chandler, and Madison Lintz, in the role of Bosch's adult daughter Maddie, a police officer herself. In Bosch: Legacy, the main character has retired from public service and is now working as a private investigator.

Connelly's planned series about fictional cold case detective Renée Ballard will star Maggie Q in the title role, and Bosch is expected to make an appearance. The new series is expected to premiere in late 2025.
