Three Queens Earn Badges During the Best Roast in 'Drag Race' Herstory
We're more than halfway through RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 9 and the Benefactress Badges are starting to accumulate. The frontrunners have been solidified, some girls are on the struggle bus and tensions are definitely mounting. This week three badges were passed out and the queens competed in what is, in my mind, the best Drag Race roast we've seen on the show. Plus, we got atomic blonde runway looks and one queen's failure to know the words to the lip sync song.
After six weeks, the eight competing queens are getting closer to one being inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame and earning $200,000. Unlike every previous season of the show, this time the queens are not competing for themselves. They're competing for a cause. Each of our eight girls have selected a charity and all of their winnings will go to support that good philanthropic work. Also, as with All Stars 7, no one will be going home this season. Instead, each week the top two queens will earn Benefactress Badges, with the three queens who have the most badges competing against each other in the finale for that crown (and cash).

Each week the top two queens will also lip sync in order to win a cash tip for their charity AND the ability to "cut off" one of the bottom six queens. That queen will then be ineligible to earn a Badge the following episode even if they win.

We've been waiting weeks for Angeria to finally snatch her second Benefactress Badge, and after several near misses, she finally took home the win this week in the roast. She also easily bested Plastique (who has now lost three lip syncs in a row) at a lip sync when Plastique failed to know the words to the entire rap section of "Be My Lover" by La Bouche. Angeria was, however, called the "most delusional" this episode as well, and tensions seem to be rising between her and the other queens.
Who won Benefactress Badges on Episode 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 9?

This week three Benefactress Badges were handed out. Angeria and Plastique won for their performances in the Roast, but Jorgeous also earned an extra badge in a mini-challenge which had the queens trying to guess which one would win certain superlatives. This is the first mini challenge win to earn a badge, but I wonder if we'll see more of this as the season goes on.

With three badges coming into Episode 6, it seemed inevitable that If Roxxxy wasn't in the top two this week that she would be cut off. When Angeria won the lip sync, she chopped Roxxxy for the second time this season meaning that Roxxxy will have to wait until Episode 8 to claim her fourth badge. TBD if Roxxxy sets out for more revenge against Angeria in the weeks to come.
