Thursday night Jax River Jams show with Bishop Briggs canceled due to weather
Thursday evening's free Jax River Jams concert in downtown Jacksonville has been called off due to weather.
Bishop Briggs, Coyboi, Kenzie's Place and Future Joy were scheduled to play at the show. Gates were scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m., with the first act taking the stage at 5 p.m. A series of thunderstorms rolling through Northeast Florida has forced organizers earlier Thursday to postpone the show by an hour. By mid-afternoon, they made the decision to cancel it outright.
"Due to severe weather and in the best interest of public safety, the Jax River Jams production and safety partners have made the tough decision to cancel tonight's Jax River Jams, reads the event's website.
