Tiana Disney+ Art Gives First Look at The Princess and the Frog Spin-off
The D23 Expo has given us a first look at The Princess and the Frog Disney Plus spin-off series Tiana via a display.
The display sees Tiana, Prince Naveen, and alligator Lou in a musical mood.

The sequel series to the 2009 animated feature will see Anika Noni Rose reprise the role of Tiana. In the years since the film she has voiced the character again in Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Tiana “sets off for a grand new adventure as the newly crowned Princess of Maldonia, but a calling to her New Orleans past isn’t far behind,” reads the logline.
Tiana series resurfaces at D23
The Tiana series was first revealed to be in development for Disney Plus back in December 2020. It had aimed for a 2023 release, which obviously didn’t transpire. In October 2023, the show gained a writer and director in the form of Joyce Sherri. It will mark Sherri’s first lead writing and directing gig, having been part of the writing team for Mike Flanagan’s Midnight Mass.
In The Princess and the Frog, a waitress, desperate to fulfill her dreams as a restaurant owner, is set on a journey to turn a frog prince back into a human being, but she has to face the same problem after she kisses him.
The Princess and the Frog is directed by Ron Clements (Moana, Aladdin, Hercules) and John Musker (The Little Mermaid, Treasure Planet, The Great Mouse Detective). It stars Anika Noni Rose (Assassination Nation), Bruno Campos (Mimic 2), Jim Cummings (Shrek, The Lion King), Michael-Leon Wooley (Hotel Transylvania, Dreamgirls), Keith David (Nope, Coraline), and John Goodman (Monsters Inc.)
The original film will celebrate its 15th anniversary this December, so hopefully, we’ll know more about the series soon.
