NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Tickets are now on sale for the second annual Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff music and entertainment event at Caesars Superdome on Labor Day weekend.

Last year’s inaugural Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff was hugely successful with superstar Garth Brooks, along with Louisiana’s very own Lainey Wilson and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band performing.
“The first-ever Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff was a tremendous success and featured one of the largest concert crowds in Superdome history,” Jeff Hundley, CEO of the Allstate Sugar Bowl said.

The Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff is to celebrate the start of College Football season. In addition to the show, there will be events in Champions Square all day leading up to the show.
“The Sugar Bowl’s mission is plain and simple, and that’s tourism. The first year was awesome on so many levels, the attendance was great, the show had high energy and the tourism was significant. The whole purpose is to try and generate funds that will keep us competitive on College Football front,” Hundley said.
The concert will be held on August 31st. For tickets, visit the Ticketmaster website.
