This past March, Tierra Whack released her debut album, World Wide Whack, one of the best albums of 2024 so far. To support the project, she stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday (September 3rd) for a medley performance of “Moovies” and “Shower Song.”
Backed by a live band, the Philly rapper and singer seamlessly transitioned between two of the more joyful cuts from World Wide Whack. Whereas “Moovies” captures the hope of early romance, “Shower Song” is an ode to self-care. Watch a replay below.
Released on March 15th, World Wide Whack is Whack’s first proper full-length release, following a string of acclaimed EPs and mixtapes. Among its 15 tracks are songs like “CHANEL PIT” and “MS BEHAVE,” the latter of which was named Consequence’s Song of the Week when it arrived.
In support of World Wide Whack, Whack has made a few appearances, including a show at New York’s Webster Hall and a performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk. Up next, she’s booked for a set at Riot Fest 2024, taking place later this month in Chicago (get tickets).
