'Tiger King': Sarah Hyland, Wells Adams play dress up, channel Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin
As many of us have discovered recently, being in quarantine for weeks on end can make some people lose their sense of what day it is.
And although the calendar says April, it feels more like Halloween to "Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams.
The "Modern Family" star and her fiancé channeled "Tiger King" and dressed up like Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin and shared the fun on Instagram Saturday.
They weren't afraid of crossing gender lines, either: Hyland donned a blonde mullet underneath a black hat and drew a mustache on her face to resemble Joe Exotic. She also held a stuffed "Lion King" doll. Wells, on the other hand, sported a long blond wig complete with cat ears and a leopard print top while holding a can of sardines.
In the photos, Hyland (Joe Exotic) and Adams (Baskin) are looking at each other suspiciously, in a nod to Joe and Baskin's feud.
"That (expletive) Carole Baskin killed her husband," Hyland captioned the post.
The 29-year-old actress's caption is in reference to the many theories floating around about what happened to Baskin's first husband, Don Lewis, who went missing in 1997. The case inspired Joe's song "Here Kitty Kitty."

Baskin claims she thought he was on his way to Costa Rica, and says she suspects Lewis might have had Alzheimer's disease and been confused about his whereabouts.
But others, including Joe Exotic, believe Baskin fed Lewis to her big cats. Baskin denies this claim and speaks out about what she feels are untruths in a post on Big Cat Rescue's website, where she discredits some interviewed for the docuseries and denies threatening Lewis.
Hyland just bid farewell to "Modern Family," which aired its series finale Wednesday after an 11-season run.

The actress has had two kidney transplants during her decade on the show due to kidney dysplasia, a condition in which the organs do not grow correctly in utero. She says the ordeal and its physical impact was visible in the fourth and fifth seasons.
"I had a cringeworthy season, not through puberty, but through health things. I had very bad Prednisone face and gained 30 pounds," she said while promoting the show's final season at the Television Critics Association press tour in January.
"Being in my late teens, early 20s in no man’s land, it was really hard. It’s not painful to look back at, it’s just annoying," she added. "The way that I move forward is that I will never post a picture from Season 4 or 5."
